Throwing the gun at the target off the draw, or at multiple targets, may seem like it will be faster but it isn’t. The draw completes the stance, so throwing the gun out with a bad ending stance hurts you on later shots. And it also makes the first shot less accurate, because “seeing what you need to see”, the sights aligned on the target, is harder since the gun is bobbing around.
